Richardson TX

Richardson TX is located north of Dallas and south of Plano TX. It begins at LBJ Freeway (IH 635) and extends to Plano, TX. The west side of town begins at Coit Road and is bordered by Garland, TX on the east.

Richardson gained its popularity in the late 60’s and early 70’s by having one of the most highly regarded school systems in the nation. As industry grew, so did Richardson. Texas Instruments, located on the southern border of the area, started the business drive. In the 80’s, the Telecom Corridor was born with the arrival of many large telecommunication companies such as Nortel & World Com, to name a few. The housing boom soon followed.

The Dart Rail Line, running adjacent to this area helped fuel its popularity. Housing ranges from older, small starter homes to large stately newer construction. Richardson is also home to many beautiful parks and celebrates spring by filling most of the greenbelts with wild flowers. Driving through this area is always a joy during this time of year. The Wild Flower Festival is the culmanation of this event.

Richardson
has some of the easiest access to many major highways (I 75, I 635 and I 190), making it a good choice for commuting workers.
