Flower Mound
As you might suspect, Flower Mound gets its name from a large 12.5-acre mound of wildflowers that rises 50 feet above the surrounding countryside and contains more than 175 identified species of wildflowers. Conveniently located near the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Flower Mound has an easy-going suburban feel with manicured lawns and residential neighborhoods full of families and busy professionals. Flower Mound’s Town Council has carefully managed the town’s services and has created numerous recreational facilities and parks that residents enjoy through a series of hiking and biking trails that link the various open spaces surrounding the town. The district is primarily served by the Lewisville Independent School District. Both the Argyle Independent School District and Northwest Independent School District serve the children of certain Flower Mound.
