The City of Irving is an important and historical Dallas-area city as it is not only home to one of the first master-planned developments in the United States of America, Las Colinas, but also home to DFW International Airport, the second busiest airport in the country by passenger traffic… located all within the city limits. Las Colinas includes the world’s largest equestrian sculpture, The Mustangs at Las Colinas. The Irving Convention Center, in Las Colinas, is another notable landmark in the city of Irving and is 40-acres of conference, events, and ballroom spaces. The majority of Irving is served by the Irving Independent School District. Other portions are served by the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District and Coppell Independent School District.
