Rockwall is located due east from downtown Dallas of Highway 30. Many people make this commute because of the lifestyle found here. Surrounded by Lake Ray Hubbard, this city is known for its relaxed lifestyle and outdoor living. This combined with the award-winning Rockwall ISD makes it a great place to live. Ample shopping can be found in and around Rockwall including The Harbor shopping center. Live music can be heard here every Thursday night starting in the Spring. The Bass Pro Shop is located on the shore of the lake. Housing varies from large, planned subdivisions to unique homes dotting the lake. Crossing the lake to go to and from your home every day is a welcome sight. Each Saturday morning, starting in May and ending in September, the town square hosts a Farmers Market where vendors of all types come together to offer their goods and produce to the city and visitors.
